architect / principal

Robert is an accomplished architect and author. While working as an architect at a St. Louis area firm by day, he went back to school in the evenings and weekends to earn his MBA degree from Maryville University in St. Louis. Always intrigued by politics, the economy and the effect it has on modern architecture, Robert penned, Wildfire: The Legislation that Ignited the Great Recession, published in 2011. Wildfire takes an in-depth look at the collapse of the housing and financial sectors in the early 21st century.
Robert is a member of the Association of Licensed Architects and began his architectural career in 1996. Robert has many years of experience in bringing livability and style to production housing and has created unique custom dwellings for his clients nationwide. Robert is currently licensed in Wisconsin, Colorado, Texas, and Arizona and is in the process of seeking certification across the country.
Architecture is truly Robert's passion. He views every project as an opportunity to enhance the built environment while remaining in harmony with the natural landscape. He opened Residential Masterworks, a studio to further develop and carry out this mission and, in 2012 merged with the Schaub Design Group, Inc. to form Schaub+Srote Architects.
In his spare time Robert enjoys spending time with his family and researching architectural history and trends.
